RE-GENERATION

“Re-Generation” embodies my interest in fashion design and my passion for sustainability and repurposing. My goal throughout the construction of these garments was to transform mundane articles of clothing into ensembles that inspire the wearer to feel confident and empowered.

 

Gen z embraces thrifting because we are aware of the impact of our choices on the environment. I wanted to break down conventional clothing and create more powerful and creative ensembles; while incorporating a neutral color palette, playing with scale, utilizing unconventional materials, and including different forms to show that upcycled items can be wearable art.
