During my time at Central Saint Martins in London, I was challenged with an intriguing project: to create a garment without using any traditional sewing methods. This sparked my creativity, pushing me to find innovative ways to construct seams without a needle or thread. From the outset, I was drawn to using unconventional materials like metal and cement. My muse for the project was Le Corbusier, the iconic French architect known for his profound influence on modern architecture and brutalism. As I delved into research, I explored post-war industrial advertisements, blueprints, and cement structures accented with metal elements. This exploration inspired me to design a garment that reflected these influences and encapsulated the essence of my research.
